How to practice Meditation
While we practice in sitting or walking meditation, be sure to let go off both our mind and body. Otherwise, our dignified meditation posture only belies a mind overflowed with illusive and erroneous ideas.
under the circumstances, we will have great difficulty retaining right mindfulness, if our mind is preoccupied with misleading thoughts, the illusive mind is in charge. On the other hand, if our mind thinks only of "Buddha", then Buddha is our mind. We should get go of the body, the mind, and the world: just concentrate on reciting the Buddha's name or reciting the counts of our breathings so as to foster right mindfulness.
In order to retain right mindfulness when we are dying, we have to practice this all the time. This is crucial because it will determine whether we can attain Buddhahood or continue to roam in the cycle of birth-and-death.
